: : Happenings- Luke's mare, Sayos Shining Star, has been sold to Brazil, and we are excited to see her continue her winning ways over there. Thiago Boechat, our Assistant Trainer, is leaving us to start on a new phase of his career at Double J Ranch in Purcell. Thiago you have been a great member of our team and we are going to miss you. Our blessings go with you and we wish you the very best. Another big congratulations goes out to Meg and Aaron Ralston. In 2005, Meg won the AQHA Amatuer Reining World Championship on Smart Paul Olena. In 2004, this husband and wife team won 2 AQHA Reserve World Championships at the World Show riding Smart Paul Olena. Meg was the Reserve World Champion in the Amateur Reining, and Aaron was the Reserve World Champion in the Senior Reining. Congrats to Pam Busch and Shiners Shinest, better known as "Rufus," on their recent wins at Pueblo, Colorado's Sagebrush Slide. This team won the Non Pro, Intermediate Non Pro, the Novice Horse Non Pro, and the Derby Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro divisions. Pam took home a trailer load of awards, including trophies, buckles, and jackets, and her first Lawson Bronze! Everyone at Milholland Ranch wishes to send regrets to Marc Wagman for the loss of his great mare Rest Stop (one of our SuperStars) who was killed by lightening around May 13, 2005. Congratulations go out to Aaron Ralston on riding Smart Paul Olena to win the first 2004 FEI qualifier at Denver riding Smart Paul Olena. Smart Paul Olena is a talented stallion that Doug Milholland originally trained and showed to the NRHA Open Futurity Finals. Congratulations also go out to Lance Shockley and Vagabond Whiz on winning the Junior Circuit Championship at the huge Pre Denver AQHA Show. Vagabond Whiz was shown by Luke Milholland to a 4th place at the 2004 AJQHA World Show, and then sold to the the McMahill Family. Congratulations also go out to Ginger Tongyai on winning the prestigious Non Pro Class Championship and the North American Affiliate Championship at the 2004 NRHA Futurity. Ginger rode Shining Salute, who was originally trained by Doug Milholland. Ginger's trainer Rocky Dare also rode Shining Salute to win the Open Freestyle Championship at the 2004 Futurity.
Luke Milholland won the 2004 Intermediate Non Pro Futurity and was second in the Open Non-Pro Futurity at the Tulsa Classic, riding Milholland Ranch homebred mare, Sayos Shining Star. This super nice mare is offered for sale, and you can read more about her on the Sale Horse Page. |
